Data Ethics Policy
Last updated: 2026
AgriProof is built on the principle that independent verification must be transparent, responsible, and fair. Our mission is to provide satellite‑based agricultural evidence that supports insurers, farmers, and loss adjusters without compromising privacy, integrity, or trust.
1. Our Ethical Principles
1.1 Transparency
We clearly explain what data we use, how we use it, and why. We avoid hidden data practices or unclear processing.
1.2 Minimal Data Collection
We only collect the information necessary to provide verification services. We do not collect unnecessary personal data or track users excessively.
1.3 Respect for Farmers & Landowners
We treat agricultural data with the same seriousness as personal data. We never use farm or land information for purposes beyond verification.
1.4 Independence & Fairness
Our analysis is impartial. We do not favour insurers or claimants—our role is to provide objective evidence.
1.5 No Automated Decision‑Making
AgriProof does not make automated decisions about insurance outcomes. Our reports support human decision‑making; they do not replace it.
2. Satellite Imagery Ethics
2.1 Publicly Available Data
We use satellite imagery from reputable providers that comply with international regulations and licensing terms.
2.2 No Surveillance
We do not use imagery to monitor individuals or private activities. Our analysis focuses solely on agricultural land and crop conditions.
2.3 No High‑Resolution Personal Identification
We do not use imagery capable of identifying people, vehicles, or personal details.
3. Responsible Use of AI & Automation
- AI is used to assist analysis, not to make final decisions.
- All outputs are reviewed by a human before being included in a report.
- We avoid “black box” models that cannot be reasonably explained.
4. Data Sharing Ethics
We only share data when:
- You request a verification report
- An insurer or loss adjuster is involved with your consent
- We are required to do so by law
We never sell data.
5. Accountability
